Palestinian boy attacked by Havat Ma’on Israeli settlers

On April 1, in the early afternoon, some young settlers coming from Havat Ma’on Israeli illegal outpost attacked a Palestinian boy with Down syndrome while he was reaching his family in the Palestinian land that is located near the outpost.

According to the witnesses, the settlers threw rocks with slingshot, hitting him in the hand and the head. The Palestinian boy sustained moderate injuries.

Only in the month of March 2017 Havat Ma’on Israeli settlers harassed more than ten times the Palestinians who were moving, grazing or working on their own land close to the outpost. On March 7 two settlers beat up International volunteers and on March 26 the settlers attacked with slingshot a Palestinian shepherd.

Havat Ma’on settlers’ violence denies every day the basic human rights of the nearby Palestinian communities, constantly threatening their own lives.

Nel primo pomeriggio del 1 Aprile, dei giovani coloni israeliani, provenienti dall’avamposto illegale di Havat Ma’on, hanno attaccato un ragazzo palestinese affetto dalla sindrome di Down, mentre stava raggiungendo la sua famiglia nelle terre palestinesi vicino l’avamposto.

Testimoni riferiscono che i coloni hanno tirato delle pietre con una fionda, colpendo il giovane sulla testa e sulla mano.

Solo nel mese di Marzo 2017 i coloni di Havat Ma’on hanno aggredito più di dieci volte gli abitanti palestinesi che stavano muovendosi, pascolando o lavorando le loro terre nei pressi dell’avamposto. Il 7 Marzo gli stessi coloni hanno attaccato e picchiato i volontari internazionali e il 26 Marzo hanno aggredito con la fionda un pastore palestinese.

La violenza dei coloni di Havat Ma’on continua ogni giorno a minacciare le vite delle comunità palestinesi limitrofe, negando i loro diritti umani fondamentali.
