On the night of October 14th, as Palestinian witnesses reported, Israeli settlers supported by the Israeli Army tried to enter in the Palestinian village of At-Tuwani

At around 11 pm a group of about 50 settlers from the Israeli illegal outpost of Havat Ma’on arrived in the village of At-Tuwani and tried to enter inside the village. When the Palestinian inhabitants went out from their houses the settlers started chanting and throwing rocks toward them. After about 30 minutes the Israeli army arrived on the spot with a great number of soldiers and deployed in defense of the settlers shooting flash grenades, sound bombs and tear gas between houses, trying to disperse the Palestinians and let the settler entering in the village. Some Palestinians were hit by the sound bombs and flash grenades, and the tear gasses enter inside the house where women and children were taking shelter. After about 2 hours full of tension and fear Israeli army and settlers finally leaved the area.

On October 13th, in the morning, an Israeli Army jeep stormed into the village and one of the soldiers shot 5 times, close to the mosque and the school.

People on the streets of the village were heavily scared by the gunshots, so they quickly ran back home.

These two events heavily disrupted the daily routine of the Palestinian families, leaving an atmosphere of tension and insecurity. 

UPDATE: Spari dentro al villaggio palestinese di At-Tuwani per il secondo giorno di fila

Nella notte del 14 ottobre, come riportato da testimoni palestinesi, un gruppo di coloni israeliani ha tentato di entrare nel villaggio di At-Tuwani con il supporto dell’esercito israeliano.

Intorno alle 11 di sera un gruppo di circa 50 coloni israeliani provenienti dall’avamposto illegale di Havat Ma’on ha raggiunto il villaggio di At-Tuwani tentando di entrarvi. Quando i palestinesi si sono diretti verso di loro i coloni hanno iniziato a lanciare pietre ed intonare canti. Dopo circa mezz’ora l’esercito israeliano è giunto sul posto dispiegando un nutrito numero di soldati a difesa dei coloni israeliani, lanciando gas lacrimogeni, bombe sonore e flash bang nel tentativo di disperdere i palestinesi e permettere ai coloni di entrare nel villaggio. Alcuni palestinesi sono stati colpiti dalle bombe sonore e dalle flash bang, mentre i gas lacrimogeni sono entrati dentro le case dove donne e bambini si stavano rifugiando. Dopo circa 2 ore piene di paura e tensione  l’esercito ed i coloni hanno finalmente deciso di lasciare l’area.

La mattina del 13 ottobre una jeep di soldati israeliani ha fatto irruzione nel villaggio e uno dei soldati ha aperto il fuoco, sparando 5 colpi vicino alla moschea e alla scuola.

Le persone in strada, fortemente spaventate dagli spari, sono immediatamente corse nelle proprie case.

Questi due eventi hanno colpito duramente la quotidianità delle famiglie palestinesi, lasciando dietro sé un’atmosfera di tensione e insicurezza.
